College & Career Fair Connects Kingsville Job Seekers with Opportunities
KINGSVILLE, TX — Â鶹´«Ã½ College (CBC), in partnership with Workforce Solutions Â鶹´«Ã½ and the Kingsville Chamber of Commerce, hosted a successful College & Career Job Fair on Wednesday, July 9, at the CBC Kingsville site.
The event welcomed job seekers, students, and community members of all ages for a day of meaningful connections, career exploration, and resource sharing. Designed to support individuals at every stage of their journey, the fair offered guidance for those just beginning their career planning as well as those looking to upskill or re-enter the workforce.
Attendees had the opportunity to meet with a wide range of employers and organizations, including Bechtel Corporation, Hacienda Ford, Kingsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lone Star Ranch Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Kingsville ISD, Texas Highway Patrol, Bexar County Sheriff's Office, Texas Army National Guard, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
The event also spotlighted Â鶹´«Ã½ College’s workforce training and certification programs in high-demand fields such as welding, automotive technology, industrial mechanics, CDL training, and other skilled trades.
“These events are a great way to put a face to the name or voice students may have only encountered through email or phone,” said Matt Saldivar, CBC Dual Credit Advisor. “It was great meeting with high school students and their families. We were able to offer advising services, help with degree planning, and have conversations about career exploration and overall student success.”
CBC encourages anyone who missed it to reach out—support, advising, and training opportunities are still available.
