5 STEPS TO ENROLL AT COASTAL BEND COLLEGE

PLAN AHEAD: Before completing the application (Apply Texas), make sure you have all of your official transcripts and test scores. Depending on the volume of documents, processing can take up to 2 weeks.

STEP 1: Apply for Admissions

• * Complete your ApplyTexas application:

  Create your account & create a new 2-year college admissions application. Select Â鶹´«Ã½ College.
  

• * Submit required documents to the CBC Admissions team at admissions@coastalbend.edu.

• * Official high school and college transcripts or Proof of GED

• * Submit Proof of Bacterial Meningitis through our (Age 22 and younger)
  * If you are transferring credits to CBC, please complete the .

  Note: If you took the TSI exam at another institution or your high school, please complete the .

STEP 2: Complete and Submit the FAFSA

PLAN AHEAD: Have you researched occupation information and trends, as well as created an interest profile? If not, now is the time. Check out this resource at , which is provided by the Labor Market & Career Information (LMCI) Department of the Texas Workforce Commission.

STEP 3: Complete the Mandatory New Student Orientation (NSO) online module.

* To access the online orientation, please visit log into the with your first name, last name and CBC ID.

* Please make sure to complete the online readiness assessment in the Technology @ CBC section (click the "web link" icon).

STEP 4: Register for Classes

• * Send an email to studentsuccess@coastalbend.edu to make an appointment with a CBC Success Coach, who can meet with you in person, virtually, or over the phone.

• * Determine if you need to complete the TSI or if you are exempt. Visit http://www.coastalbend.edu/collegeplacement/.

• * If you are a returning student with no holds, you can register through the Cougar Den by clicking on "self-service" >> student planning.
  * If you are a new student, we recommend visiting with a CBC success coach or faculty advisor. To connect with a success coach, please email studentsuccess@coastalbend.edu.

PLAN AHEAD: Check the Payment deadlines on the CBC Academic Calendar . If you DO NOT pay for your classes, you will be dropped for non-payment.

STEP 5: Pay for your CBC Classes

• * Pay online by logging into your Cougar Den Account. You can pay by debit and credit card and even set up a payment plan.

• * Pay in-person at your nearest CBC location (Beeville, Alice, Kingsville, & Pleasanton)

• * If you are receiving financial aid, please check the checklist the Financial Aid checklist in Cougar Den to determine if you need to submit additional documents and to check your status.
